Anatoly Isachenko held a number of meetings with the delegations of the Russian Federation

10 July 2023

A number of meetings with delegations from the Kursk, Vologda, Bryansk regions and the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow were held today by Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee . Communication took place in the House of Soviets as part of the participation of representatives of the regions of the Russian Federation in the republican holiday "Kupalye" ("Alexandria gathers friends") . The parties considered options for strengthening ties between the regions of the fraternal countries.

“Today we discussed various areas of cooperation. The most important thing that sounded like a red thread during the talks today was the need to move away from simple trade and establish cooperative ties, move on to the creation of joint ventures, - Anatoliy Isachenko said during a conversation with reporters. - For this we have the appropriate competencies, we have the potential, and we must use them. And in order to speed up the process, it is necessary to exchange business missions. Medium and small businesses are more mobile and ready to adapt to these conditions. For us it is important. We need to do everything to establish independent production. As practice shows, we can do it and we have everything for this.

We are brought closer to the Russian Federation by spiritual closeness, mentality, common victory and Slavic roots. We are together and it is difficult to imagine another option. However, today, largely thanks to the Internet space, attempts are being made to rewrite history by outside forces. The task of our generation is to do everything so that the younger generation knows the true truth, is proud of the heroic deed of its people. Our youth is our strategic reserve, our future. Therefore, today, among other things, we talked about the possibility of exchanging youth delegations so that they understand that we are a single whole and we need to work and develop together. We have common interests and I am sure that the current communication will be continued in future joint projects.”

Governor of the Kursk region Roman Starovoit shared his opinion on the tasks that today stand between the regions of Belarus and Russia . He emphasized: “Despite the fact that the agreement on cooperation between the Mogilev and Kursk regions, in particular, was signed not so long ago, in 2015, we should not forget about the Soviet times, when interregional cooperation worked perfectly and nothing prevents this experience from being updated today, to update taking into account the realities of our time and to use in practice.

In recent years, an economic war has been waged against our countries, initiatives are being blocked, and difficulties are being created for the development of peoples. Therefore, we must hold on to each other. And the experience of our regions in terms of the agro-industrial complex, processing of agricultural products, the dynamically developing industry of the Mogilev and Kursk regions contributes to the establishment of cooperative ties.

In the Kursk region, there is an active housing construction, in addition, there is a need to replace elevators in high-rise buildings built 25-30 years ago. For the third year, a large-scale program has been implemented throughout the country to replace these elevators with new ones, Russian factories cannot cope with such volumes, and we are very interested in purchasing Mogilev-made elevator equipment. We were also interested in the novelty of Mogilevliftmash - rotary elevators for organizing parking space in densely populated urban areas. It will be interesting for large cities of our region.

We also agreed on closer cooperation on interregional cooperative ties. That involves the involvement of medium and small businesses as well. This will give a nice multiplier effect. We accepted with interest the offer to attend the events on establishing economic relations that will be held in your region in October. Before that, we will work out possible directions. We are interested in the development of the industry of our regions synchronously, dynamically and mutually beneficial”.

In turn, the head of the Administration of the Governor of the region and the Government of the Vologda region, Inna Sinyagina, shared her positive impressions of visiting enterprises, educational and healthcare institutions of Mogilev.

“Impressive level, attitude and approach aimed at making people's lives comfortable,” she said. – The cooperation between the Vologda Oblast and Belarus is very active in general. The current situation prompts both to look for new markets and to establish new ties for import substitution. Today, we are really interested in partnership and have found common ground with the Mogilev region, which we will develop. In particular, we are interested in electric stations and projects in the social sphere. We have a lot to learn and a lot to tell. In October, we are planning to take part in your business forum on import substitution "Made in Russia", an invitation to which we received during today's communication. I think that it and the business mission that precedes it will allow our enterprises to speak out partnership relations more precisely.

In general, a large number of industrial enterprises operate in our region, so there are more than enough areas for cooperation. We are interested in both mutually beneficial business and the cultural component, so that our interaction continues and is of an in-depth nature. Taking into account the times in which we live, I would like young people to communicate more, make friends and implement common projects, especially those aimed at preserving historical memory.”

Interest in developing cultural, trade and economic ties with the Mogilev region was also expressed by Dmitry Plakhikh, Deputy Prefect of the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow :

“Despite the fact that we have been doing business for over 20 years, of course, establishing contacts continues. The Eastern District has 16 districts, two of which are sister cities with the cities of the Mogilev region. And although there are no large industrial enterprises on the territory of the Moscow District, there are food and light industries, and other objects that are of interest for cooperation.”

Speaking about economic ties, the governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz emphasized that their region cooperates with almost a hundred states, while the largest trade turnover is with the Republic of Belarus, including the Mogilev region.

“Today, during the meeting, we noted that the trade turnover between our regions has been growing for several years. Given the good neighborhood, the fact that the economy is developing is encouraging. This entails an increase in the well-being of the population of both regions. It is significant that the situation that developed around our countries last year, the problems that arose, we managed to overcome together and use them as opportunities. We directed our efforts to close the niche of goods that we received from abroad with our products. And without further ado, they began to produce it.

Another important direction is our history. Without the past there is no present, without the present there is no future. The past is our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers who gave us Victory and peace, defended honor, freedom and independence. And today, if we do not remember this, if we do not educate the youth, then soon we will get "Ivans who do not remember kinship." The leaders of our countries are talking about this as well. Therefore, it is so important to preserve the history, including the warm friendship of our peoples.”
