A competition for the improvement of a surface water body has started in Belarus

The annual republican review competition on the improvement of a surface water body has started in Belarus. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

The competition is held from May 1 to June 30 in three stages in two categories: “The best improvement and maintenance of a recreation area at a water body among state organizations” and “The best improvement and maintenance of a recreation area at a water body among water users providing recreation and tourism services ".

In the first stage of the competition (from May 1 to May 31), participants are selected, the competition is held and the results are summed up at the district level (conducted by local executive and administrative bodies as part of the acceptance of the readiness of recreation areas at water bodies for the spring-summer season). In the second stage (from June 1 to June 15), the results are summed up at the regional level. The third stage (from June 16 to June 30) ends with the determination of the winners of the competition at the republican level.

When evaluating the improvement of recreation areas, the preservation of the natural attractiveness of landscapes, ongoing work on the arrangement of a directly surface water body (its coastal zone and beaches) is taken into account to a greater extent.

The winners of the review competition are awarded with appropriate diplomas and cash prizes.
